Explore a few of the projects we've completed with new and longstanding customers - we love celebrating a job well done!
Adding a new countertop and improving kitchen cabinet use
Kitchen
Carpentry
Cabinets
Jim had a need to improve functionality and transform the look of their kitchen.
The central island, while functional, lacked enough space and overhang to accommodate bar stools. I treated a large butcher block countertop and secure to the existing island, after removing the granite counter. The new counter lets guests hang out while meals are being prepped, and gives the family an alternate dining location. Best of all, the old counter can now be reused in a nearby laundry room.
The second part of this project was to convert a cabinet into a sliding drawer for trash and recycling bins. I am a huge fan of this type of improvement, as it brings a clean and classy feel to the most important room in the house. It is also a quick job that is relatively inexpensive compared to the complete change to look and feel of the space. Bottom line: who wants to stare at ugly plastic bins in their kitchen, when it can all be hidden away?
Bringing a new look and feel to the master bedroom

Modern
Jennifer in Scarborough was looking to refresh her bedroom with a new look. She has been in this home with her four children for many years, and was tired of looking at the old carpet. I came to remove the carpet and put in new vinyl plank flooring. One of my goals is to minimize the impact my work makes on your daily life, so this project was finished in stages.
After the refresh of the bedroom space we were inspired to update the entire house with new door hardware: old brass handles and hinges were replaced with modern matte black. The final look has brought some modernity and a fresh look to her family’s home!

I gave my wife a Christmas gift this year of a butcher block countertop for our island. I had made a promise that the project would be completed before the end of March 2024. I should have known better as I had set myself up to perform a project, I was not ready to tackle it on my own. To my great fortune, I was able to find an ally in the “Honey Do” list completion arena. This person was Ryan the Amazing Handyman out of Gorham, Maine. He came in, took our ideas for the countertop AND was able to add a more functional solution for our trash and recycling. He was competent, friendly and did not dawdle with the project. I have no reservations referring him to others and have done so several times. I am looking forward to our next project. He is a great handyman; you will not be disappointed!
